Low Tide Calm

Low Tide Calm offers structured, evidence-informed coaching combined with breathwork and mindfulness, online across Ireland, the UK, and beyond, with in-person reflexology and Indian head massage in Wicklow Town from late summer 2026. Coaching gives clarity and direction; breathwork and mindfulness regulate the nervous system. Focus: nervous system regulation, stress reduction, sleep, and burnout recovery, delivered as practical, trauma-aware, neurodivergent-friendly skills training.

Low Tide Calm provides one-to-one online sessions combining coaching with breathwork and mindfulness for adults dealing with chronic stress, burnout, anxiety, sleep difficulties, or nervous system dysregulation. Coaching is the integration layer across every programme, helping clients clarify what they are working towards and stay accountable, while breathwork and mindfulness build the regulation skills. The approach is parasympathetic-first, evidence-grounded, and explicitly non-clinical. Coaching is not therapy, counselling or clinical mental health care. The work is not spiritual practice, and does not use catharsis-based or hyperventilation-based methods. It complements existing psychotherapy and medical care rather than replacing it.

The methodology draws primarily on life coaching (diploma-qualified, accredited and insured), the Buteyko breathing method, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Sessions run approximately 75 minutes, delivered as structured, time-limited programmes (three or six sessions) with clear progression and a defined end point. Practices are trauma-aware and choice-based throughout, with adaptations specifically for neurodivergent adults (ADHD, autism) and clients carrying trauma histories or high sensory sensitivity.

Practitioner

Cian O'Driscoll. Diploma-qualified, accredited and insured life coach. Functional breathwork facilitator (Functional Breathwork Facilitation, Shannon Way Estuary & Retreat, certified by IPHM and Yoga Alliance Professionals, includes the Buteyko method). Mindfulness teacher (Mindfulness Now, UK College of Mindfulness Meditation, accredited by NRPC, BPS-approved CPD course, ongoing supervision via MTA). Reiki practitioner (Level II). Currently completing ITEC complementary therapy diplomas in reflexology and Indian head massage (London School of Massage), fully qualified in those from late summer 2026. Continues to work in product and business analyst roles alongside Low Tide Calm, roughly a decade in high-pressure professional environments, so the coaching draws on direct lived experience rather than theory. Formally neurodivergent. Based in Wicklow, Ireland.

It is not a substitute for medical treatment. Clients in acute mental health crisis are signposted to clinical services rather than enrolled.
