Is it free?

Questions we actually get asked

If something is not answered here, email cian@lowtidecalm.ie.

Yes, completely free. No subscription, no trial period, no hidden costs. If you find it helpful you can leave a tip on Ko-fi but it is never required or expected.

No account, no login, no email address. You open the app and use it immediately. There is nothing to sign up for.

Yes, it works in any mobile browser on both iPhone and Android. On Android you can install it to your home screen from Chrome for a full app experience. On iPhone, tap the share button in Safari and choose Add to Home Screen.

Everything — your check-ins, journal entries, settings and custom activities — is stored only on your device. Nothing is sent to any server. We genuinely cannot see your data because it never reaches us.

No. Low Tide Calm is a self-regulation and wellbeing app for general use. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, psychological or therapeutic advice. If you are in crisis please contact your local emergency services or a mental health professional.

No. All features work fully offline once the app has loaded. You can use the breathing exercises, crisis tools, journal and check-ins with no connection at all — which matters when you are dysregulated and your signal is unreliable.

Absolutely. The check-in feature includes a therapist export function — clients can copy or download their nervous system history as a plain text file to share with you. The app is designed to complement professional support, not replace it.

No. Because your data is stored locally in your browser, clearing browser data or switching browsers will remove it. You can use the Reset All Data option in Settings if you want to start fresh intentionally. We are honest about this limitation.

Low Tide Calm was built by Cian O'Driscoll, based in Ireland. It grew out of not being able to find a tool that actually worked the way a neurodivergent brain does — no fluff, no wellness speak, just practical regulation support when you need it most.

A Google Play listing is coming soon. In the meantime you can install it directly from your Android browser — open the app in Chrome, tap the three-dot menu and choose Add to Home Screen. It works exactly like a downloaded app.

Your nervous system doesn't come with a manual.
This is the closest thing.

Free for ADHD, autistic and neurodivergent people. No account. No sign-up. No cost. Works right now in any browser — or install to your home screen like an app.
